Enrolment

HDSC prides itself a being an inclusive school and we are driven by our school values; growth, respect, integrity, pride.

We encourage parents to visit our school as an option for their family.  Year 6s will be invited to a transition day via the primary schools.

Meeting with parents and students is compulsory to start the enrolment process. Please provide relevant documentation and sign forms to verify the information given is current and correct.  

The school has a uniform shop and can assist with providing booklists, and bus information.

Step 1: Phone school 03 55 271 303 to make an appointment.

Step 2: Meet with Principal/Assistant Principal to discuss enrolment and any additional supports required.

Step 3: Enrolment paperwork will be available at the school interview. Enrolment at Heywood and Secondary College will be confirmed within a week of interview and enrolment form being completed.

Step 4: (if required) Student Support Group with relevant agency or support persons.

Step 5: Attend on agreed start date.

Year 7 Families and Students Welcome & Information Evenings

A Family/Student Information Evening for all prospective Year 7 students will be held during Term Two in the Senior School Hub. This night will cover a personal overview of curriculum initiatives, an overview of the day-to-day operations at the College, including our House System and Music Program. This evening will also be an opportunity for information to be given out and for any questions you may have regarding Orientation Days and the start of the school year. Parents/Guardians and students are strongly encouraged to attend the information evening.
